Labor Day Trends

As we get ready to close out the summer and celebrate Labor Day, we from the Caribbean Islands know that Labor Day is all about, fun, food, and festivities. We enjoy and attend, barbeques (cook outs), Reggae Shows, and Parades.

As we get ready to celebrate and enjoy all the fun and festivities, I wanted to share with you some of my Labor Day style ideas for the older (but still young!) plus size fashionista.

Caribbean people love vibrant colors, and Labor Day is the day that we get to show it off:

Palazzo Pants are in now. This was a first for me, and I love the look. I paired this floral Palazzo pant with a yellow top and chose green accessories. You can wear this to the parade, a reggae show, or that barbeque (cook out).

I paired these white shorts with a floral fish tail top. I chose orange accessories and tan shoes to bring out the earthy tones that come with fall.
I paired the white shorts with an orange top. Again I chose orange accessories and tan shoes to bring out the earthy tones of fall.

I paired these pink tights with a floral top. This can be an outfit for that parade goer that likes to "jump up and wave, wave it." I chose sliver accessories and sliver flats for comfort.

Here I am again in Palazzo pants. I paired this one with an orange top and blue accessories to highlight the blue in the pants. I'm wearing orange and gold flats for comfort. This can be worn to the parade, to a reggae show, or that back yard barbeque (cook out).
